Mentor Adds Clinical Trial & Early Product Development Expertise to Westfield’s Strong Service Portfolio for the Pharmaceutical, Biotech and Life Sciences Industries

Roseland, NJ – March xx, 2020 – The Westfield Group today announced the recent acquisition of Mentor Planning & Consulting, Inc. Under the agreement, The Westfield Group has acquired Mentor’s assets, people and customer contracts. The business will operate as a separate division within The Westfield Group brand. Mindy Cimmino, the Founder and President of Mentor, will continue to maintain her role as President of Mentor. As a privately held company, the terms of the deal are not disclosed.

Mentor, established in 1993, is a leading logistical meeting planning and consulting firm specializing in clinical development and medical education. While the company is focused heavily on Pulmonology, Neurology, Oncology, Endocrinology and Infectious Diseases, Mentor has worked in other therapeutic areas as well.

“This acquisition offers an exciting opportunity for The Westfield Group to provide additional services and specialized support for our valued clients from the initial stages of product development right through a product launch and commercialization,” explains Tony Cherichella, Managing Partner of The Westfield Group. “The acquisition of Mentor supports our ongoing strategy to offer the most robust portfolio of end-to-end services – from early stage clinical development to strategic consulting and medical communications to new product launches, speaker programs and full meeting logistics support.

“The Westfield Group has a long, successful operating history similar to Mentor and offers our clients and team members access to an enhanced infrastructure and resources I was intentionally and thoughtfully seeking in order to accommodate the significant growth in demand we have been experiencing year over year. Mentor’s areas of expertise are complementary to those of The Westfield Group and we are aligned in our mission. I am delighted to be joining such a dedicated and forward-looking firm,” added Mindy Cimmino, Founder & President of Mentor. “We now have the combined capability to support our valued clients through the entire product life cycle from drug development to market launch and beyond, with the ultimate goal of positively impacting the lives of patients who may benefit from new or improved therapeutic options.”
